Last posting for awhile I promise but I'm learning a lot and having fun. Can't wait to take a lot more pics and try different settings with the camera. Second pic was a small stream coming off a falls, long shutter speeds used with some telephoto, cold as hell but I think it was worth the pic, feedback apprec thanks!

I really like the unique color rendition of the ice. Not every scene needs to be exact color as long ad you are happy with the final results. Your point of view ( pov) of the checkerboard is much better than if you had shot it standing up. Keep up the good work.

I like the way you compose. When your sharpening you have to learn when to stop. I see pixels breaking up in all 3 shots, especially in no.2. google unsharpe filter and try that. Also if your using a tripod ,use your screen and bring it up as much as posible ,use manual focus and watch the screen. That procedure takes a little bit longer but works awesome. Don't forget ,when using a tripod do not use VR.

All three are good, Mikey, but that checkerboard really got my attention. I love the texture of the old wood. Beautiful!
