The waves are white, the water is an unreal shade of blue(this is not a bad thing), and the rainbow colors make me wonder why I left California.

Oh yeah, couldn't afford to live there anymore. That, and the fact that the new reality affords us the luxury to sit on 7000 sq/ft of building(s) without the stress of having it produce an income. Property taxes are about $350 per year.

We do miss trees and the ocean though, that will never change.

Thank you for the mini fix Brent.

Well Mike, you might have left California so you can leagally partake of the weed? $350 a year is not to bad for property taxes either!

Oh MAN! I'm glad you were there Brent. I lived in Hawaii for three years and never saw this happen on the ocean.

But then, we had "liquid sunshine" complete with rainbows. It would be sunny on the south end of Oahu, but the prevailing westerly winds were so strong on the "windward" side of the island, the rain would be blown over the mountains and fall in our sun-drenched back yards. It was quite wonderful to behold.

Bob, I'm glad I could be there too. I'm surprised that you have not seen this occurance in Hawaii, specially since it rains so much there. At least you got to see your back yard rainbows.

Wow Brent, that is something I have never seen, great shot.

Maybe because you live in Hockley Texas you have never seen something like this? It's even rare for us here in California. All the conditions have to be just right. Offshore winds is a must which is somewhat rare.

Nope, we move here in 2005. Way before the thought of legalizing pot wafted through the heads here. Besides, the last time I smoked that stuff was over 20 years ago and I got so stoned I had to lay down and then my parents showed up. All that aside, I remembered EXACTLY why I had stopped smoking to begin with. :)

I hope your parents didn't know what was going on with you Mike! I'm curious about traffic accidents there in Colorado........has there been a study to see if there are more accidents now that it is legal?

Thanks a lot Moxie. Sometimes you get lucky! It's rare for the offshore winds to hit our beaches but when they do, the waves are usually hollow.

I got some shots like your at OB.
