On my screen, the download shows heavy moiré in the church. I'm not sure this can be completely dealt with in post, but it's worth a try. Brightening the church may help minimize the moiré too. I like the light and composition. The bald spot kind of matches mine, but mine is harder to fix! The shot has the makings of an outstanding image, and is well worth the work to make it so.

I see moiré when I view it at 66% or lower, go to 100% and I see no more moiré. Go above 100% and you will start to see the almost unavoidable jaggies on angled lines..

Be nice, but be honest as this may help everyone with their craft. Thank you everyone!

Welcome and thanks for sharing a very nice image. I agree with most of the posters who pointed out some post processing artifacts that can be mitigated, but I did want to add that it is a pleasing and impactful image to view, reflecting the photographer's good eye for scene, drama and light. Processing is the easy part to fix but not everyone has that instinct that you obviously have for choosing what to photograph from what angle and what to make of the light available for use. BTW, I don't see any moire on the download, just the thumbnail which is no worry. I like your choice of processing, it just may need a bit of fiddling before its next contest!

I really like this.
It is a beautiful image.
The concept is well thought out and reasonably well implemented. I like the smoothness in the processing as well.Or is that just the D4S?
I am interested as to whether the concept came first and then patient waiting over months for the right moment, or if you just happened to come across the light and took advantage of it.
To me it looks as if the building has either a little bit of "leaning back" or it is very slightly tilted to the right, either way, it may benefit from about 0.5 degree tilt to the left.
There is a mistake in the editing with the gaussian blur selection where the branches meet the left hand side roof. Those branches need to be sharp, or gone.
A very slight curve lift of the whites and shadows in the church would do wonders as well.
A very nice mono.

I think this might be screen moire at our end, on our monitors, rather than in the shot itself.
On first download, the moire is not there on my screen.
But when I enlarge to 100% and then minimise again, the moire explodes in the weatherboards in the church.
