OK everyone I goofed I was not talking about combining images like the one with the boy out the train window I was trying to show the look I was after with just one image. The new picture attached is an example of what I would like to learn how process to have a final result like this.

I don't see any outlandish processing on this portrait. After downloading it and zooming in, I see there are stray hairs on her collarbone and blouse. If her face has been altered, I'd say it's just something similar to Portrait Professional which is fairly minor and even it can be used for removing stray hairs but that didn't take place.

You may be impressed by the photographer's choice of lighting which is rather pleasing but the other photo of the boy speeding past is a while different ballgame that would be much harder to achieve than the portrait.

On second examination of the photo, this could have been a single shot processed with software designed to shoot glamour portraits. This kind of software will allow you to not only remove blemishes from skin, but will give you the ability to make the skin look silky smooth and almost ethereal. Personally, I don't like this kind of portrait where all the blemishes are removed. Yes, she's a pretty girl, but I find perfection to be boring. It is the imperfections which often give a human feel to a subject. Some of the most beautiful women in the world have imperfections that set them apart and add to their beauty.

Sorry. Her skin looks a little plastic. The goal of Frequency Separation is to retain the skin texture while removing blemishes and evening out skin tones. Check the tutorial on Phlearn.com. Aaron is pretty funny and knows his stuff.

In the first picture, the two shoes on the ground, I guess, are suppose to represent the kid being ripped out of them. Then what is the boot doing behind his finger flying along with him? The kid may be three feet high, but I don't think a perfect picture would have him with three feet thus allowing a third foot wear.

Yet there are some who see strands of hair displacement and ... in the second. Maybe standing too close to the trees to see the forest.

The old grouch here. Why would anyone want to make pictures like that flying boy? Do you want that on your living room wall? I agree with those who commented on the female shot. Get people to pose and learn photography.

With men I agree. Imperfections are considered character. Either secretly or openly every woman wants to be absolutely perfect and just endures being imperfect because there is no choice except surgery. Even many of the most famous magazine models, with few exceptions, don't like themselves because of their imperfections.

I don't find perfection boring myself. I never tire of staring at a perfect portrait, collecting them, and wanting to see the subjects for real. Maybe the shot is Photoshopped (I told myself I'd never use that word and now there it is), maybe it isn't. I don't really care, I just love perfection.

You need to learn HDR. Where the faces DO NOT like make up look the people not like dolls.

Most software on the net will give you 30 days FREE to try it to see if you like it.
I been trying for years to get a picture to look real not as a photo. NO WAY yet.

You can do this with Portrait Pro very easily. However, the example you show is a bit overdone in my opinion.

Bill, the reason anyone would want to make photos like the "flying boy" is money. Ad agencies pay good bucks for anyone who can produce a photo that is a representation of what some ad person had in his mind. So what if it costs upwards of 100,000USD to produce. It sells millions of products. That success brings clients back for more advertising work again and again.

The other reason, it looks good on one's resume when they apply for a job with the above mentioned ad agency.

THINGS HAVE CHANGED, YOU CAN NOW DO IT ON PHOTO-SHOP,
