These days it;s much more likely. Rattlesnake smells a little funky when its cooking. Our son in law tried his hand at it several months ago. Not so chickeny that time.
When I lived out west I had it and fixed right it does taste like chicken. Here we have the Timber Rattlesnake, but it's on the endangered list. Wouldn't know why.

Yeah - I had alligator one time and was promised that it would taste like chicken. I would stop eating chicken if chicken tasted like THAT. Ich.
