I visited Yosemite at that time, but you know in those days news traveled slow there was no instant news like right now.
Blacks2: Very special series of images.

Thank you very much, appreciate your comment.
I like #3 & #7. #3 with the little fall color at the bottom...so subtle. #7 driving into a big rock!
Love the first 9. All that beautiful color is lost on the last one.

thank you very much, well the last one was made long before we were born in 1896.
I think that I will leave this huge cliff as is and just take beautiful pictures from the ground. Very nice shots.

Thank you for commenting, if you still have the negatives or the slides scan them and post them here, everybody likes Yosemite images.
Well you asked for it. Just remember these were the very first 35MM photos I had ever taken. These few are the best of the lot.
I hiked up to the top of Nevada Falls and back down the opposite side. It began to rain on us at the top and we were cold but dry because of our jackets. We drove up to the drop off for a hike to Sentinel Dome where the Jeffrey Pine stood. It had lived over a hundred years before it fell in 2003. It was already dead in 1985 when these photos were taken. We took a mule ride up the switchbacks to the top of Yosemite falls as well. There was a place that we crossed where an avalanche had happened a few years before killing some hikers. The mules were experienced so we had no fatalities. I have more Photos but won't post anymore at this time. Maybe later. IF you want to see me on Mule back I have one of that too. But of course I didn't take the picture. Hope you like these. I would appreciate a Critique too.
