I was nine years old, got a Brownie, but probably didn't look as cute as Benny.
Me too at 7.Brownie Target back in1940...
Kodak Brownie 127 when I was 11
I remember using one at the New York World's Fair in 1939 at age 11. Don't remember how long I had had it by then.
A cheap little no name at about 8, then a brand-new Minolta xe-5 at 11. And my parents weren't even photographers - I had a better camera than they did!

I was about ten when my folks got me a little box camera to take pictures of birds with. I found out right quick that It wasn't a bird picture taking camera||
I was about 12 in 1974 when I found an old Kodak 35mm in my parents closet. Was about 21 when I got a Pentax k1000, and now have a Canon eos t5.

Ditto;mine was a Kodak "Baby Brownie", was all plastic and I think I recall it using 127 B&W roll film.
I was 15, Pentax ME Super and a Mamiya/Sekor
I think I was around 6 when I got my Brownie. Still have it.
Then got a polaroid which took color pictures when I was a senior in high school. Moved on to 35mm with a Yashica FX2 which I got in Kunsan. About 7 yrs ago I got into the digital age with a Nikon D40X which I am using now. I have been thinking of upgrading to the 7100 but now I am waiting to see what the 7200 will be like before making a final decision.

I got my first camera when I was around 8 or 9. It was a box camera from Folgers coffee. After you bought the first camera, all you had to do was take the pictures, and cut off an inch of the opening strip, stick it and a dollar in a slot on the top of the camera and send the whole thing back to wherever it came from. Pretty soon you would recieve prints and another camera.

I must've been around 10 years old. I think it was an Argus that I used then.

My first camera of my very own..... probably 30, but I have not been without one since. I had came in first place in a sales contest at work. Cannon AE-1 and a multitude of lenses to accessorize. I was mighty proud of that camera, it took all of my points to get it all, but so worth it!
