My wife told me there was a bobcat in our back yard this morning.

It hung around long enough to give me time to get my camera and get out in the back yard to get some photos.

Most of these were shot at ISO 3200.

Great work BDO and very fortunate to have it stick around long enough to get these shots.

Isn't that something? Nice series. We had a bobcat that would sun itself everyday on the roof over my daughters' bedroom. Weird. When I mowed the yard, I was leery at first because he would not move. But when I noticed that he would lay his head down and closed his eyes one time, I just let it go. However, I would not let the girls in the backyard unless he was gone. This was in Kansas City proper. I had 3 & 1/2 acres mostly wooded.

You lucky dog! To have a wild cat in your back yard. WOW. Love that last shot best.

"Lucky" really does describe these shots. I could hike the hills and mountains around Boulder for the rest of my life and never get an opportunity like this one.

That's very interesting. One thing that struck me about this bobcat was how calm he stayed. He made sure to keep a good distance between me and him, maybe fifteen feet, but I never sensed any fear or panic on his part. He moved very deliberately until he went over the back fence.

Very nice! We have had them at our house in Pagosa Springs, but I have not seen them in a couple of years. For a while we saw them often. I miss them!

Great shots!

Usually when you're hurried to "go get the camera", you miss a lot of shots, but looks like you nailed it.
