Okay, we're up that famous creek, in a leaky boat, and no paddle!

WOW! Thank God your toe was there to break the fall!

And I only say that in the remote off chance that there is one person out there that did not get the joke.

Yep, I agree completely, Bill.
But ain't that life? Constant learning.
I imagine that's why our brain is designed to hold so much. The original "Super Computer".
(Although some of the drivers operating cars are still using a 286 with 640 KB of RAM.)

I think the best part is being able to get help, as well as share help with other folks.

One of the great things about photography is that you never stop learning. It keeps what few brain cells I have left busy.

Wow, that is one of the mixedest metaphors I've ever encountered - which reminds me of one of the things I like best here, the creative writing!

Hard to remember why I was so content with just an 18-55 mm on my Rebel XT for four years
 Can relate! And I wish there would've been a UHH back when I was first learning about digital cameras. I "hate" that I haven't been able to afford a really good rig for the past couple of years (maybe I should cut back spending on Post software!), but that hasn't stopped me from being able to come here and learn something new and valuable almost every day. Just today I learned about something I didn't know that I didn't know, too...

And I have come to understand why some of youse joiks sometimes come off as total know-it-alls - because you are, and you DO know it all! I always learn the most when people who really know their stuff start arguing about the fine points of some technical detail or other - "I shoulda been taking notes!"

Having always been interested in photography since high school and only taking photos as snapshots until a couple years ago.

as with anything else when you get serious about a hobby, you read and try to educate yourself!!!

AND this is why I love UHH!!!
a lot of fellow people here interested in what I am interested in, and some very smart people willing to help you become a better photographer!!! to you, I say thank you......

NOW!! this brings me to why I hate UHH!!
the more I "read" here , the more I "learn", the more "classes" I take, the more "pictures" I take..
the more I find out
""THE LESS I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"" and to UHH and its patrons , I thank you for that also!!!!!!

OK.... all better now, time for more coffee
Having always been interested in photography since... (show quote)

I feel the same way. I think many here do too.
