We absolutely loved your beautiful state. I posted lots of photos ages ago, you might like to have a look. Hope you get to Oz one day. Jude.
I took a peek at your US trip - it looks like you had a fantastic trip! Wonderful shots.
My favorite is Bryce and the hoodoos. Stopped there for two days last June on our road trip to Alaska and found it magical.
A long-time resident of Arizona, I've had the pleasure of visiting many of the places you did. Canyon de Chelly is another of my favorites-even more than the Grand Canyon because it seems more intimate and touchable.
Happy 2015 and best wishes for future travels.
A road trip to Alaska! Now that would be a dream come true. Bryce was magical for sure. So privileged to have been there and walk among the hoodoos. Our dream would be to go to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons area - but it's an expensive trip and our dollar is way down now. Hopefully one day before we are past it.

It was a dream trip! We were on the road 2 months, pulling our 24' RV behind a Tundra. I drove the entire 8,400 miles because hubby does not see well. I've posted a few of the many pics here. I have lots I have not posted. Yellowstone is fantastic, but we loved Glacier and the Kenai Peninsula the best. You have inspired me to post more. Stay tuned - I'll post some later this evening or tomorrow.
Happy New Year!

Our first snow in two years - my first try at shooting in the snow.
Hello.... I have a Child and Family in Mesa, but they own Property and a very nice cabin up on the Mogollon Rim. They go about 5 miles East of Payson and then up onto the Rim.... IT snows Tons and Tons up there every year.... Don't know what it has done yet.... I do know that the Road up there is closed during the Winter..
Nice Pictures.... thanks for Posting..

Payson is just below the Rim - your family has to go thru Payson on their way to their cabin. I will guarantee you there is a lot of snow on the Rim - we got 12" here in Payson yesterday with more forecast.
Yes, the road closes in the winter, but I've been over the loop from Woods Canyon Lake where the pavement ends, to where the pavement starts again 30 miles later - when it was closed. Ex-hubby decided to venture out "a little way" to see how much snow was there and realized too late he could neither stop nor turn around. Luckily, he had turned the locks on the 4-wheel-drive already. There was about 18" of unbroken snow on the road and we were throwing fishtails over the cab of the truck and leaving a deep rut from the transfer case. We hit the bar ditch three times but he was nothing if not an expert driver. He gunned the engine and we bounced back onto the road and kept going. We met a snowplow at the other end of the loop who was astonished to see us. I don't think I have ever been so scared in my life. We had not planned that little adventure and had no food, no snow boots, no shovel or other gear and no one knew where we were. And our 2-year-old was with us. Just one of the many reasons he's an "ex."

Thanks. Send me a PM if you wish. There are a couple of us on this forum that live in Payson.

Having grown up and spent most of my life in the mid west I'll say your shots are nice but... I'm much rather live here in Phoenix that Payson. I've been to your fair town and I liked it but not the winters.
I'm glad for you that you're enjoying it. Happy New Year

You can have Phoenix! I endured about 50 summers there and that was more than plenty for me. Summer here in Payson is a little slice of paradise and this is the first snow in two winters.
Happy New Year to you, too!
Taken just after sunup today.
