Thanks Danilo. I had a great time indeed! If you think it is hard to pick a favorite, you should see the other 200 + pics I had to choose from! I'll be happy to post more if anyone wants to see them.

So...what could possibly be wrong with posting more???

Great photos. Glad to hear you enjoyed the show. I know what you mean by a lot of cars. There is a major car show & swap meet in my area every August that my relatives are involved in and I have been a little as well besides attending since it takes place around my birthday and even sometimes on so I get to really enjoy it. Some years we have over 300 cars for show so you need to come early and plan on making it a day to see all of them in detail. My favorite from above is the nice Bel Air that has not been hot rodded.

Well sir, the 327 was first available in 1962.The 283 was bored a bit to 4 inches and the stroke was increased to 3.25 inches. The 348/409 shared the same block and head design ( the "W" Motor) Very distinctive valve covers and head design.
The "Big Block" Chevy began as a 366 inch truck engine and quickly grew to 396 (1965 corvette) then 427 cubic inches(1966)
In 1970 the 454 was born.[/quote]

Bruce, you obviously know your cars! Your Chevy's for sure. Thanks for the info. You would have loved that display of fine old cars.

Thanks, Photo guy, we had a great time, but I wish I had gotten there earlier. I would have had more time to look closer at some of them and a few had already left.

The Ford is a '55 Crown Victoria. A really cool looking ride. If you like detail, here's a shot of Chevy SS and close up under the hood shot for you. This one IS a 396, no expert needed. LOL

One more for now, 1929 Ford Roadster with a 305ci 265 hp Chevy engine. Fun to drive, hard to land!
Thanks to all for the nice comments.

Really like this one. Love old cars, own 4 just can't get enough.
I've been shooting cars for a while as well. I find an ultra-wide angle taken down low gives a real cool look and you can limit the clutter in the background. Just a suggestion for future. I hope it's OK to post a couple I took last weekend.

Nice photos
In January the Tonopah Chamber of Commerce held it's first annual car show. There were 40 cars signed up and entered for the judging, and 10 more that just showed up to show off.
Some of my photos were published in the two local newspapers.

Thanks Gary. I don't have an ultra wide lens, but I agree that would be a good tool to have for these shots. Thanks for posting your cars.

Hi Quickflash,
I shoot a lot of car shows and something that i have found in bright sunlight is to shoot 1/2 to 1 full stop under especially on brighter colors; they turn out more vibrant and you can always lighten them later if needed. Also play with your white balance to see which will give a better color because if you are using daylight sometimes it gets fooled, ect. on the color of the car that is.
