I have try Social Security Office, Vital Records, Death Index Records,Archives Records,Federal Census Records, and Ancestry.Com. It is impossible to track a person down with out a last name. I have three names I had to go by to no avail.
Maryville,TN, You are right.

What are the three names. I see Burke and Robbins. What is the 3rd name?

Swindell,

We're there any siblings, anywhere in the immediate family, perhaps locating them could lead to some information. If not already suggested or tried, look at the obituaries for you grandparents.

Good luck!!

If you have a copy of your birth certificate sometimes the mother's (maiden) name is listed. Worth a try.

You might try the Mormon Geneology web site. It's free and since you have the family name you might be able to track it down.

hmmm......I thought the Mormon geneology site morphed into Ancestry.com (not free). Please tell me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

I'm not sure and you may be right. It has been a while since I looked into it.

They are two separate entities. One of the people I met on Ancestry uses both. He goes to a library near him that orders microfilm from the Mormon church in Utah.

How can I not know my mother's last name, the reason is when I was 3 years of age 1936 we were separated. Do not remember what she look like. As I said 1936 I was put in foster homes, and never heard of her since. I have a copy on her Divorce Record, she was divorce in 1936. She may have got married again. After 61 years searching there is no records on her. I do not know her last name when she died.AS THE OLD SAYING IS NO LAST NAME NO CAN FIND.

I see you have had a series of double posts. Is this happening automatically? If so does anyone know what causes this? Every one in a while almost every post I make doubles.

Why are you inquiring on a photographic web page? I can show you a photo of my grandmother if that helps.

FastFrank. He inquired in the General Chit-Chat section of the forum which is perfectly OK. And why you be so rude....and insensitive?

He would look here for some advise on how to proceed from people just like me who have spent many years doing genealogy work. If you didn't want to respond with some help in some way why would you even bother to post such a sarcastic insensitive remark????

To give people like you work. You are awfully hard on me for someone sensitive. Give me a break. I won a smack down contest on a sports site once. Maybe I have a hard time getting out of character. Have some compassion. You are also very gullible to believe all the unsubstantiated claims that people put out on the Internet. Maybe you should watch Dr. Phil.
