Better brace that left side before you and your horse slide out of frame!

I need opinions on what to say to a person who thinks he is a wonderful, creative photographer. This is the picture he took of me and my horse. I just said gee, thanks. He is always at the stable. He has a Canon and an L lens.....and he is forever taking weird angle pictures.

Am I crazy? Does anyone think this is a good picture?

Does he DRINK MUCH?? Boone.

[quote=cosmo54]I promote creativity and enjoy HDR and perspective is important. Some time it works. This time it didn't. David

Maybe the OP could cut some toothpicks or matchsticks to size and glue them to the picture so they appear to be supporting horse and rider. Then show the photo to the photographer; he might get the hint.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but as for me I'd hit the Trash Button.

Be honest and tell him you didn't care for the photo. Taking photos at an angle was a fad that came and went years ago. If he is harmless and means well, let him take photos. If he is a nuisance, ask him to leave.

Wow, come on. I sure hope this photographer doesn't visit this sight, only to hear all the negativity. This person didn't come here for CC, so number 1. Posting someone else's image asking for CC is bad form. Beating up someone for trying something new is also bad form.

Some hate HDR, some love it. Some (me) hate Picasso, some call him a genius. Some hate Selective color, some enjoy it, some like strange and new angles, some hate it. I can't fault anyone for at least trying to find a new way of looking at things.

Now, if the actual photographer would have posted his own picture, and asked for CC, then yes, I probably would have told him what I would have done differently, but that doesn't make it right. It would just be "my" way.

All a person really owns is their opinion. This person asked, and was given viewers opinions. I am a painter. I think Matisse wasted his life. I don't like Cezanne's work. I am nobody. But I have an opinion. My honest opinion of this photo is "Should be trashed". My opinion only.

Cosmo54 did in fact ask for C & C, As far as I am concerned the only perpose of the UHH is teaching and improving. When a picture is bad we need to be honest. David

Cosmo 54 did as for C&C on SOMEONE ELSE's photo. It is a photo someone else took and gave to him/her.

That makes a difference in my book.
