Jim: You are a good person, and the karma will come back to you many-fold. Good luck in getting this off the ground and helping many innocent and deserving animals find a good and loving home.

Jim, don't shoot down on the animals as you see some of the images here. Be sure to get on the pets level or put them up onto something to get them on yours. Take a grey cloth if you have one or get a $12 painters drop cloth from one of the home do it yourself stores and maybe roll on some shades of grey overlapping them and let it dry for 2 days and use that as a backdrop. It's okay if it is showing folds in it too, but don't light it too well, compared with the subject matter.
If you have a brolley or softbox use it, otherwise just bounce your flash on camera up onto the ceiling when you shoot. Preferably don't use your built in flash.
If have not been to Chuck Rubins or Rubens used camera store in Louisville, you owe it to yourself to visit there. You could get a nice cheap backdrop from him. Tell him your idea and he'll maybe almost donate it to you.

Hi Jim, If you should come across any wolf/dogs the Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge in Nicholasville, Kentucky will be able to help.

Yes they are a lot of fun to photograph, but they always want to have their nose in the lens. Whatcha got there dad, can I sniff it, is it something to eat?
There are more wolf/dogs that you think. Unfortunately they are throw away pets and end up dead or in rescue/sanctuaries.
Thank you for what you are doing for the pets.
you're welcome...such a shame ,being an unpopular breed..seems to me,they 're more pure canine........
With what you are doing, it's a good community service. You might find some donated space- say, a church basement or something.

Those are two great lookin' dogs, travlnman! I'll bet you just love so much...and they you!
I'm glad you posted these pics!
Hi Danilo: They have such different personalities. Comet the one with white on her paw is a cuddle bug while her sister Dasher, the one with white on her chin and muzzle is a nervous Nellie. Comet tends to be passive and relatively obedient, while Dasher will do every thing in her power to do what she wants when she wants. Neither one would deliberately injure some one, but when they get into it with one another. Good grief... My son has said two pitt bulls in a fight don't hold a candle to these two. I've even used pepper spray on them to break them up, didn't even slow them down. We've learned to put a stop to the posturing between them before it ever starts. Other than the getting into it with their sister stuff. they are fairly well behaved dogs.. or as I call them puppy girls.lol..
Visit local sshelters, talk to the folks, More than likely they will be THRILLED for the help.
