And at the Entry Level, you're silly to limit your choice to Canon and Nikon, because there are so many differences that again one should say "depends on the feature set and how it suits your photography". For example, long-ignored Pentax makes a weather resistant camera that is said to have very good picture quality. Since I have managed to ruin three different cameras (during a time span of fifty years) because of dampness, this is something I would not ignore.
