If I may answer your question with mine.
Which is better car, Ford or Chevy?

This type of thread could go on for many pages, it is up to you, after you study the specs on cameras, hold them, play with them and then field test them before you making your decision

Welcome to the UHH. This question has come up numerous times here on the Hog.
If you go to the top of this page, click on the search function button, and type in something along the lines of "canon vs nikon" you will see many threads with lots of information and opinions.
Enjoy!

Entry level - Nikon.
Mid level - depends on the feature set and how it suits your photography.
Pro level - they are both brilliant but can have slightly different feature sets, so choose whichever feature set suits the type of photography that is most important to you.

Yes, _ _ _ _ _ is better. (Insert the letters of your choosing).

Phase One makes a great entry level CMOS medium format back. They sell for a mere 35K - which means most of my students have several.

If you are asking seriously, the answer is a big "it depends". It depends upon your style of photography and which lens set offers you what you are most interested in. Both produce excellent cameras - one may be a better match for you than the other.

They are both great cameras! I have used both and you won't be disappointed in either one. Everyone has their reasons for picking one over the other. Put each in your hands and see which one fits you the best!

Nah, seems sincere but pointing the OP to previous discussions at the start, nips yet another urinating contest and helps the new person get and answer.

That said, I wonder just how long before someone starts the BIG D*CK camera war.

Oh, now you've started something

They're both good systems. Go to a big camera store and try them out. See which one feels better in your hand and has control where you like them; then decide.

I would, but women are also members of this site and I wouldn't want to be responsible for any lack of control on their part! I still have scars from the last time! Do you have any idea how rough a crowd of screaming women can get??
