Now that I think of it, I might have taken a few steps to the left, if possible.

Mt. Adams has a halo! Well done Ernie, and I barely notice the tree which, as Randy mentioned, adds foreground interest.

Beautiful picture, just the way it is. Gary
Simply a phenomenal photograph of a special scene!
I notice how the trees in the foreground look almost three dimensional.
This is topped with a great exposure of the mountain clearly showing its features, and its unique "hat".
Exceptional to say the least.
I put your photo at the top of my list of photos viewed in 2014.
So good to see you, Ernie, and so good to see this beautiful picture!

Hello friends! I miss you folks so this must be a good time to say hello and post a picture I took this fall of Mount Adams here in Washington. The fresh snow is nice as is the lenticular cloud. I had no way of removing the tree in the center though. If any of you are from around here check out Lower Lewis (river) Falls which is near this location.

How far north of Portland is this? I would love to shoot it.

Tree or no tree, it's still a great shot!

Ernie, YESÂ…i would stop looking at the tree at the bottom. The shot is stunning, like all your shots are.
