Mornin', everybody. Long time, no see. I haven't posted in quite a while but I still visit, look, and learn everyday.

Back in late March I entered this photo in a contest hosted by "Southern Living" magazine at the urging of a friend. The contest was several months long and I was informed last week that I'd actually won the thing.

This shot was taken on Bayou Dorcheat near Doyline, Louisiana at sunrise on Easter morning. I was sitting in a moving Bass Boat and shooting twisted around over my shoulder. It was just such pretty light that I had to "Hail Mary" it and hope it would work out.

I'm not sure what happens with the image from this point but I'm expecting a packet in the mail which, I assume, will explain all of that. So, a chance for publication? Maybe. But I don't really know, yet.

Anyway, you Ladies and Gents have been so instrumental to me pursuing this hobby turned love that I just wanted to share. Thanks and thanks for the look. :)
