My Sony a65 lets you zoom in to focus before shooting, but it only works with Jpeg like most of its 'gizmo's' Nevertheless it takes a great Sony sharp picture in Raw too but thats at normal view in the viewfinder
Wrong, you need to re-assess.

If you don't have the lens racked out to a ridicules length is there a mirrorless camera that takes tack sharp photos? So far what I have seen leaves me unimpressed. Everything always looks soft.

I hope someone can prove me wrong because I really want one :-)

Are these sharp enough?

Love the Hummer shot. Just curious, are you shooting in RAW or JPG?

JPG. These are all with either the 60mm Oly macro, the 12-40 OLY f/2.8 or the 75-300 Oly zoom. Sold the 75-300 and waiting for the nw Oly 40-150 f/2.8 and 1.4TC. Once I get the 300 f/4 I'll be done! All with EM-1.

Until you try the 7-14mm...it was my favorite lens for landscapes in the 4/3 system...12mm is nice, but it's not wide enough. I'm using the 7.5 to hold me over until next year when the 2.8 version is due to be released, but it's not the same since its a fisheye. I'll eventually pickup the 40-150, but I'm going to wait until the refurbs hit the olympus site in 6-8months.

7-14, 12-40, 40-150, 75, 25 1.4 MC-14...that's my ideal lens lineup.

Looks good, but, I use the 9-18 and am satisfied. I do a lot of long shooting and will use the 300 f/4 with or without the TC for that. I hear good things about the 75 but don't need the extra 1.3 stops so the 40-150 at 75 does it for me.

Thanks for the lense chit - chat. I have the E-M5 and the 14-54mm plus the "old" 90mm macro. I am still trying to decide how to go lense wise. I will probably go longer before I go shorter. I don't know if I will get an automatic macro since the 90mm macro actual produces images sharper than the sensor can resolve.

Recently took this at a car show.... looks good to me what do YOU think? It was taken with a Sony a7R with a FE55mm F1.8. Would like your honest opinion. Where these cars were parked was not easy to get the best of shots of it.

Most people here would want to download it so they can examine it using their own tools, and that requires that you check "store original" when you attach it.

You are correct I loaded it again. Normally I do check store original because I like people to download it ... My mistake. Thanks for pointing it out

Good shot, but, could have used a smaller aperture. The back is not as sharp as the front.

How does this one look to you? Taken with a Sony a7R using a FE 55mm F1.8 prime lens.
