One of the highest points on Long Island, NY, Bald Hill is home to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Farmingville. At this location, a 100-foot tall obelisk soars even higher as a fitting memorial to all the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War, both survivors and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The tip of the structure is proudly decorated in the red, white and blue

i'm so glad the light bulb went off angela...this memorial is beautiful...it is a fitting memorial to all who served in vietnam! :-)

Your photo is so beautiful that I had to look it up the memorial on the internet. In fact, your photo is more beautiful than the photos on any of the internet sites! I read the design was the result of a contest.

Could not have said it better Randy... it was a long senseless war.
Thanks for looking and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

great shot. All wars are senseless because they are started by those with only one goal in mind-acquisition of land, money, and power. and nothing else
