Thought I'd Share A Bit Of LI....
One of the highest points on Long Island, NY, Bald Hill is home to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Farmingville. At this location, a 100-foot tall obelisk soars even higher as a fitting memorial to all the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War, both survivors and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The tip of the structure is proudly decorated in the red, white and blue colors of the United States flag.
I pass this memorial all the time and finally it dawned on me to take a picture.....

I am so glad that you did, it is stunning...I'll have to visit it one day!
Beautiful shot, Angela. So many went without recognition for their sacrifices for far too long. Grateful to them all.
Wow! I'd never seen that monument depicted before today Angela. It looks needle sharp (I certainly would not want to be parachuting in the near vicinity). Great capture!
