Lovely image, Linda. Right place at the right time is only part of it. It's just a great photo.

Thanks so much, Angela! Pleased you like it. I was surprised none of the passing cars honked their horns at me since I was right beside the road, aiming my camera in what would appear to be their direction :)

Lucky is a girl who is fully prepared with camera, knows how to focus and adjust for her shot and ready to shoot the moon...Had to be there and ready, for good luck to strike!
Nice shot.

I wanted to check the location of the moonrise, so was hanging around a semi-busy street corner for awhile. Once I saw the moon, I took quite a few photos, and during one snap, got this very lucky shot!

Then a lady from across the road came over to inquire, in a friendly manner, what the heck I was up to :) She thought I was documenting speeders as they came up the hill!

Canon T3i, 55-250 mm kit lens, shot in raw, PSE 12 and Nik Color Efex. ISO 400, f/10, 1/1250 sec (hand-held. I have problems holding this lens steady; tomorrow night will be with tripod :) )

Wow Linda! What an awesome picture. It was like it was meant to be.

Beautiful. Makes taking photos a thrill doesn't it, when an opportunity like that comes along.
