True..you cannot download to PICASA..it is a workshop for any Photos that you want to work on. The orginal is in whatever folder you put it in.

I seem not to be able to copy and paste a photo, sending it into an email. I must be doing something wrong.
Any advice for me? I will appreciate all comments. Thanks.
Why do all the "experts" like to do everything the hard way !! With Picasa, just click on the picture you wish to send- the picture or pictures will show up in the box in the lower left of your monitor. Then click where it says EMAIL.
enter the email address or addresses and click SEND !! Picasa will automatically down size to about 500K
Thanks for responding. For some reason, I can't get your simple directions to work on my computer. I probably set up the computer without the necessary details. Some others have also helped me and I now can copy and paste for what I want. Thanks again.
As you say. That is exactly the way to do it. have done like that for years with NO problems at all. so easy .why do people find it so hard to understand ?

Hi again John B.
I've just been browsing your list of topics, & came across this one.
Apart from the issue of pics not stored in Picasa, I have that same problem. Well, not a problem but can't Copy & paste to email.
You can however, click & drag them. Opening two windows, one your email window & the other your photo folder with pics to be emailed.
Click on pic & drag it to email attachment area. Automatically copies to email.
If you didn't know that, great. If you did, no problem.
