I have all my pics stored in Picasa. No problem there, and I do like the simple editing it provides. However...

I seem not to be able to copy and paste a photo, sending it into an email. I must be doing something wrong.

Any advice for me? I will appreciate all comments. Thanks.

Rather than the copy/paste attempt, try adding an 'Attachment' while in your email, then go to where the photo is located and select it. The photo will then accompany the email to its destination.

Thank you, especially for the quick response. I had forgotten that Picasa and Google were related.

Also, your photos are not "in" Picasa. You can view them through Picasa or any other number of ways, including going directly to the folders, often located in My Pictures.

Be aware that if you EDIT any photos in Picasa, unless you SAVE or SAVE AS or SAVE A COPY, other programs (including email programs) will see the ORIGINAL w/o the edits. Picasa can email from within and that should send the edited versions. Go into Picasa settings (Tools, Options, Email) and choose the file sizes, etc that you want emailed.

Do your editing, check the "export" box at the bottom of the Picasa screen, export to your desktop, then add the exported photo to your mail as an attachment. Works every time.

there is no picasa problem, picasa only gives you access to to the photos wherever they are. by-pass it and go directly to the folder you keep your photos in, and do whatever you want with them.

To attach from Picasa to email, or other upload here's what works for me:

Locate picture to upload
Right click on the picture
Click "Copy full path"
Go to email, snapfish, facebook - whatever you're uploading to and right click, paste.

The entire path for the specific file is then pasted to allow for easy upload without hunting the hard drive for the file.

Works for me. Good luck.
