Bob, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like one of each, so I can see which looks best with this particular photo.
I'm sending you both photos that I posted; not sure which one you wanted me to send.
I converted the RAW files as shot to maxim jpegs; hope this correct
Thank you very much for your help.
For loboimages - here is one of your old wooden barns from Mormon Row, presented in Low Key. I liked your color version very much, which is precisely why I hoped you would share it with me. To get a good b&w of anything, you need to start out with an excellent photo. This is just a different view, a very dramatic one.
Please view the download for best effect.
Bob....Sorry for the errors. I misunderstood which version you wanted. Here is the color version.
The B&W low key looks great!!!. Do you use PSCC for processing?
Another question. Is it the (store original) selection that allows viewers to download posted photos?
Thanks again.
Lou
Agree 100% with his philosophy and the image is outstanding. Thanks for both.

Thanks Raleigh. It seems we share some common traits you and I.

Lou, the file you uploaded the first time worked just fine for the Low Key conversion. It would be redundant to try again.
On UHH when you click the (store original) link, a full sized version of your .jpg file is uploaded to the UHH server. When a viewer clicks the Download link, that full sized version will be rendered on their monitor, but NOT downloaded to their hard drive. To do THAT, you must be viewing the full sized version, then right click with your mouse and select "Save picture as " You will be prompted for a location and a file name and if you then click OK, the image will be physically transferred from the server to the user's hard drive.
As to your other question, I use PS CC 2014 and several NIK Collection filters including Viveza, Silver Efex (for b&w conversions) and Color Efex for final touches in appearance.
O.K. Thanks. I have the same software you use, so that means I'm on the right track. Now, I just need to learn how to use them to achieve the kind of results you get.
I really appreciate your help.
Lou
This is what your barn looks like in Monochrome (NIK Silver Efex conversion).
Oh yeah! I like it more than the color version. You've got me hooked.

I don't think that I would have thought of a treatment like this. I think it is wonderful. Very thoughtful and creative.

Thanks much Erich. Like you, I'm seeing things I had never thought of doing before, but they give me grounds for some experimentation on my own. And we have such fertile imaginations here .....
