Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Thanks simon. I'm getting back to my dark side after a brief respite in the light.

Love the image. Not sure I agree with Edna St. Vincent Millay's sentiment.

Bob, You quoted the second line accurately, but the line preceding it in Dylan Thomas's poem is "Do not go gentle into that good night." I taught college English for 20 years, and these lines have long been my credo, as I am a long-time cardiac patient who is scheduled to have yet another surgery next week. And I intend to keep "raging" in my own way.

Yes, I too love your photo, even though I'm personally just a banana peel away from "the dark side." :D

Thanks larry. The thing that attracted me to this particular building was the pattern of the various slats working against one another.

Thanks frjack. I'm not sure what Ms Millay's sentiments ran to ...... this quote was from Dylan Thomas.

Thanks for your comments u02bnpx. The first line is the Title of my Topic ..... probably the most important words in the whole poem ...... I certainly wouldn't leave it out.

My consistent experimentation in photography is my own way of raging against old age.

Still jet lagged from the return trip from Africa. But it is still a sentiment I find off-putting after forty years as a geriatric internist and psychiatrist.

Thank you Artiekay. I keep experimenting with this form ...... the hardest point for me is blend the edges in with the background. But I'm getting there.

You have really gotten a great collection of old buildings going. Just like the others, I like this one also and the treatment you gave it.

Thanks Jerry. I suppose the good news is that I have covered most of them, so it's time to move onto something new. Either that, or go through them all and convert them to High Key. Now THAT would be a hoot.
