a Taste of halloween just for Erv.
Okay, now I have had every bit as much fun reading all the comments as I did looking at the pretty pictures!
Since Victoria went back to school (and is still working at the grocery store), she hasn't been keeping up with her garden. I went out to pick some things yesterday... found several cucumbers that had turned into sequoias, green beans that have become saplings, cherry bomb peppers that fortunately haven't turned red yet (Victoria couldn't imagine why they were so hot -- but what do you expect, with a name like that?!), and several sweet green peppers that look so good, I promptly got hungry for stuffed peppers. There were more green beans I should have collected, but the mosquitos were collecting my blood, and I decided to scamper back inside before I needed a transfusion.
Why didn't we plant pumpkins?! I love pumpkin chiffon pie, and it just isn't the same without fresh-baked pumpkin.

Hi Karen. How have to been? Marilyn and Mary are just mad because I am married. They both keep wanting me to come to their houses. But I think it is just to work around their houses and yards!:):)

Duh Erv of course you are needed to do yard work.
. AND if you get all your work done. I will let you built me some bird houses. Maybe even a new shed. I will save you some tomatoes.

Fortunately, there's a huge pumpkin farm just a couple of miles west of us, and they sell pumpkins for a smashingly low price.
(Hmmmm... 'smashingly' may not have been the best word there.)
