You have such a way with words, Terry. The images are nice but coupled with your narrative, makes them come alive and makes me emotional--I want to comfort it and tell it that it will be ok, even if it becomes recycled into mulch or something.

As do I Sidney, the stories these old barns could tell, our nation so young on the world stage, I wish to see what old remains, remains.

Very few of us are able to enjoy a way of life that barn represents. Like that barn a part of our culture will be lost with the passing of time. Thank you!

It is sad that we as a society let these things happen. In Europe I have eaten in restaurants that were built in the mid 1600's and cathedrals that were built hundreds of years before this country was found. We get something old and we tear it down and build another McDonalds
