No you have missed the point, like just about every other piece of software on my computer I decide when to update Photoshop & Lightroom CC if and when updates become available. I will say however that updating CC via the CC app is a lot easier than if you do it all manually from Adobe's website
Think so? What makes you think that my updates get installed auto?
I do let Firefox run on full auto because it is constantly updating itself. And I chose to be a feedback person for them. So when it crashes they get a notice.
But other software I choose if and when. But the notification comes in on auto pilot usually.
in Element 12 I just went to the help file and chose to let it check for updates, then ran it.
But folks have to admit, a program that squats a burgeoning 1.6 gigabits on your hard drive is a bit cumbersome. That is the download of Elements 12. And it is a tad sluggish. Even on my desktop which has always been in a sporty state of hardware. I like speed available, but don't use it much.
And my cable Internet is kind of zippy as well.
Basically, I've always been just a step back from the edge. Great views there, without the problems. Now the cable folks are advertizing 300 Mbs here. (Online gamers drive the need for speed. I'm just sitting in the back seat.)
Anyway, Al, I have always found Adobe a bit like a 25 pound, 3 month old baby. Hard to handle, and tends to do big diaper loadings.
I think my all time favorite was Photoshop and a Windows program called Picture It. But like Windows 95, and Win 98, they went to way of the Do-Do bird.
Not to worry though, as a solar operator I also have an aversion to real clouds as well. And clouds tend to blow away. 8-)
I hope all is well there in the land of the Kiwi. Beautiful place I hope to one day visit.
