These are just beautiful pics...I too, love #2 but #3 is a classic "teenager staredown"...I see it frequently in my teen grandaughters..funny...they used to think that I was the smartest, most cool, grama in the world...Now...well lets not go there....lol!! Linda

I think #1 is the one as it has electricity, #2 is a
portrait as #3.

Brighten and contrast. I do that to almost everything of mine and it really makes them pop.

#2 says it all....... The eyes.... The smile.... The wind blowing her hair.... the unposed spotenarity of the moment....

Lovely photos.
Interesting that you have a color-discrepancy. Perhaps that's why your b&ws are so superior to the color one. I have the opposite problem, my color vision is too sensitive.

Awesome!!! The second one is my favorite. What kind of lens did you get?

Thanks, I got my D3000 about a year ago and a few days ago I got a :
AF-s DXNikkor 55-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 G ED VR
Big purchase for my budget. :-)
Not sure what to put on my wish list next :?:

I have been using that same lens almost exclusively on my D5000, and aside from it not being a "fast" lens....it seems to be a great universal choice. The minimum focus distance sometimes irks me, but the range of other shots is pretty broad. For me the next addition to the "arsenal" will be a close-up / macro , to allow for some closer shooting.

When large is unavalable, look small.

Keep up the good work.... I love the black and whites... the approach is novel and you captured them well. I like #2 a little better because I can see her eyes.. but they are all good. Looking to see more from you... Ya did good!

Since you have a color problem with your eyes, it's probably hard for you to tell that #3 is a bit too magenta. It's especially noticable under her eye where the hair is on her face. Try using the color balance on ps5 and reduce the magenta and/or red, then lighten using curves.

Well I don't reallly have any software , I putz around with freebie stuff, But I guess it should be on my wish list.
Do you like this better?
Thanks

The fix
