We're hitting on all cylinders today. We've got Canon vs Nikon, film vs digital and PP vs SOOC all on page 1.

Have you considered the camera doesn't always capture reality? ;)

I think the camera usually always captures reality it just doesn't always capture the way we see it.

Perhaps the operative word is "usually"... however, not always. Then as you suggested, not always what we see since our eyes have a much greater dynamic range than the camera so the image captured may need a little tweaking especially the highlights and shadows at a minimum. ;)

Nah, you wouldn't be happy. I have one, actually my second camera. Always great in a pinch and some pretty nifty PP available. But the phone cameras do continue to get better so who knows. One day perhaps? ;)

I'm hoping so, I'm seeing the nice image quality from the iPhone5s I just think cell phone cameras are such a pleasure to use and carry around.

I to a large degree argee with Mr Griffith. However I have some extremely picky family members that hate their pictures being taken unless they look perfect......so I do use some post processing to please some family members but when it comes to nature, I am a camera man only.
