Well photographed, a joy to view.
I appreciate that BMAC. Thanks. BTW, where was your avatar shot?

Your picture that's how's on every post!
Very well done. I agree the Iris is stunning, but I really like the perspective of the first one - the flower clinging to the rock. I wonder if it might benefit from a little post-processing. Perhaps darken the background slightly and crop just a tad tighter. Just my opinion.
Thank you for sharing both photos.

Ohhhh.....sorry. It was taken just prior to lift off approximately two years ago. As soon as my taxes (I do pay my fair share) begin to lower to a more realistic figure and humans start behaving I intend to return to my beloved earth. Until then I will wander the void in search of photographic enlightenment. :) :D   8-)
Simply gorgeous, Cyn! Someone told me once that gray is a perfect complement to purple and this certainly confirms that!

I was drawn to how desolate the purple clump of flowers looked with the magnificent rocky backdrop. A little further up out of nowhere I saw the iris'. Download to fully appreciate #1
Great job with the compo. Lovely colours and textures.

Beautiful shots, Cyn. Really prefer the first one. Shows the stark contrast to the surroundings.

Thank you! I found it to be pretty unusual in real life, so I was hoping that would come across in the image. Do you ever get back to Maine?
Have been back 4 times in 12 years, but it's now been four years since last visit. Your recent posts have made me very homesick :)
Thanks for sharing! Both shots were excellent.
The first is absolutely spectacular!
