With slick photo gear available now, I've forgotten how much fun it was to putter around a few decades ago doing a shoot in manual mode.
I got a chance this week to wander around the garden using my old vintage lens.
There's nothing automatic, but it's still fun

they're all pretty, but i prefer the second one. love the colors and the sharpness and the way it was composed. you must have a beautiful garden. :-P

Your second flower is outstanding.
I hope you take this as a helpful suggestion, but I recommend that you brighten up your final picture to give more "pop".

Here is a very slight brightening for your consideration.
It's not much, but I think it aids in your presentation.

Have fun with your manual work.

The original looks much better, IMHO....

Thank you Merry Texan.
It's Sandra's labour of love and everything is blooming beautifully at this time.

Great set, Pierre!

Thanks Angela.
I'm getting a little long in the tooth but very lucky that I have no problems with memory. LOL, Sandra may not completely agree with that.
Regardless, recalling the days when this lens was my work horse is good.

Nothing wrong with that lens, Pierre! The I.Q. is excellent! You also know what the hell you are doing and that always helps.

Thanks Tom.
Without sounding preachy, I think that it's a good thing -- at least for me -- to go back to basics once in a while instead of letting all the auto processes nake the decisions.
