That's a fabulous view of that river Mullumby, the water's clarity is remarkable.

Beautiful opals, where did they come from?

I sure do, however you are ahead of in getting rid of the wires. Still many people using landlines here. Thieves can't strip wires that are in use.

Neat display of shells and gems.

These emu's are in the small mid west town of Murchison, not to be confused with Murchison region.

Hi there great shots. Just showing a TV series here called Outback Truckers, boy do they have a hard time. One guy took a month to do a trip that should normally take 8 days, got caught in the wet season. What i liked he just shrugged his shoulders and got on with it.

You wouldn't want to be in the bucket during a rager Mike, the cable could do with a little tightening.
It would be a wet crossing.

Yeah, there was one trip into the Northern Kimberlies with a road train of supplies for, I think, Kalumburu Mission.
I've lived a few wet seasons in the area & one thing you learn early is that you don't mess with the wet season. I thought it a bit stupid to have attempted the trip at the beginning. However it makes for good viewing & i did enjoy it.
If that's the one you mean.

Yeah that's the one. Watched another one a couple of weeks ago from Alice Springs he took a "short cut" to save a couple of hours got bogged down for 6 days.

You'd think they would get the message.
Being bogged is bad enough in a small vehicle but in a truck & trailer or two is just soul destroying.
