I can't imagine that nowdays people are still shooting RAW!

I'm sorry, but I don't understand the reasoning that would lead you to make that comment. Please elucidate. Thank you.

???

Odd comment...from what I am seeing, Raw is just taking off and more and more people are just starting to use it.

Hence the reason raw support on software is getting bigger and more common, and more camera now seem to have a raw option.

A lot of effort was put into development of Jpeg etc. to get rid of useless pixles but people still would like to have things as they were with film. I have nothing against raw except that it creates more work for me and brings up the necessity of buying extra softwear. To each his own! Not much of elucitation.

Yes, but once you have a JPEG you can't recover under/overexposed areas, improve sharpness etc etc.

I generally shoot both JPEG and RAW, and use the JPEG straight out for viewing on the PC. But if there are any shots that I want to full size print..then I have the raw to fall back on for a better quality print.

I am sure a lot of work went in to producing the mp3 compressed audio format.but it can sound crap when compared to a FLAC/ALAC or analogue file..

Ah yes, but as I hinted at in my first post..not using 10.8
I did install it, but they (Apple) have made such a mess of Address book , Notes and Mail with this new 'iCloud ' iOS ified mobile look alike OS that I ahve gone back to 10.6.8.
I have managed to find the issue......over 15 hours I have been here working on this f**&&*ing machine...
Although Software Update says the Mac is up to date...it is not, there are later version of Camera Raw that can be downloaded..has to be done manually as Software Update won't do it. This is not an Adobe update..it is a iPhoto/Aperture update..but the auto update does not find it.
I used to think Windows was a pain in the arse, but Mac is not better grrrrrr
Ah yes, but as I hinted at in my first post..not u... (show quote)

Apple just announced they aren't supporting iPhoto or Aperature. This could be why auto uploads stopped?

Just learn how to use your camera and not to have "under/overexposed areas, improve sharpness etc etc."

A simple comment like that instantly shows your level of knowledge of photography, histograms, ETTR, detail in darker areas and other such techniques, layers, multiple opening of jpegs for editing etc etc. Only even bothering to reply since I am bored and this could become an interesting bit of sport...dragging up an old thread like this just to pass on an insult...one word springs to mind ....troll
