This is another issue I laugh at people about. The company is not denying anybody access to any abortion options. This is simple a matter of who pays for it. Again it's the not wanting to accept the responsibility of your rights. Yes, you have the right to seek and abortion, along with that right comes the responsibility of funding it. The insurance riders cost extra money. By demanding a business pay for the riders is demanding them to be financially responsible for what you should be responsible for. You don't want to be responsible? Then don't do what will get you into the situation to start with.

I wonder if a muslim owned company could decide if some aspects of sharia law apply to their employees such as having to work on Sundays because the muslim sabbath is Friday.

Or if a hedonist could demand that everyone participate in group sex!

They decided that owners have some rights, too.

Simply one more step in the termination of human rights. Corporations are not human. Now they have human rights of speech and religion. Voting is next at a $ per vote, so they can directly buy elections. Then we will see the total elimination of human rights in favor of corporate rights. It is a shame that the right packed the court so it could be sold to the high bidder. But as the court said, $ is speech .

Yes, the legislators will do everything they can to maintain their constituency base to insure they get to keep their job as congressman/woman.

I am surprised that you see this as an erosion of human rights at a time when Same Sex Marriage is now available for those that have been waiting decades.

Where you been bro? Many of the Camera stores in Manhattan are closed on Saturday (Jewish Sabbath) and open on Sunday. Whether the Christian Employees are forced to work on Sunday is unknown to me.

This decision is only making way for more companies to follow. A poor decision and liberals are protesting.

Remember that a government that is powerful enough to force people to buy abortion-inducing drugs for other people is powerful enough to force you to do something that you find abhorrent. (This is, of course, assuming that you have any sort of conscience and moral compass and that there is, in fact, some action that you would find abhorrent.) If history is any sort of guide, it will get around to doing so sooner or later.

Since when was a company not being forced to pay for a medication an infringement on anyone's human rights? What a farce!

So since companies don't have any rights, as you claim, then why not allow cops to RAID any company for any reason without any probable cause or warrant? Let's just let the cops have free reign to so what they want? Must swoop in there and take whatever documents they want and search the computers of any employee they want to see if anyone is doing anything illegal?

Then let's force companies all around the country to print up flyers supporting a particular cause or candidate for office. Ten require that they provide daily emails to their employees praising said candidate and decrying the opponent?

Yes, since corporations have no rights then that shouldn't be a problem at all then should it?

Working hours is a non issue because companies have wide latitude to open and close their doors when they see fit.

As far as group sex, that would be forcing an employee to perform an act they might find reprehensible and contrary to their beliefs/morals/convictions/religion.

HL is not forcing anyone to do a damn thing except show up for work when scheduled and to do the job they were hired to do. They aren't forcing any employee to buy abortion drugs and they are not prohibiting any employee from buying abortion drugs.

Perhaps you can point me to a religion that teaches that a woman is prohibited from taking contraception unless it is paid for by her employer? Non wait. That's liberalism.

Yes. No company should be forced to provide ANY health insurance benefits to their employees.

That is short sighted ..... a healthy workforce is good for the entire economy .... it is self serving for a company not to do all it can to insure its workers are healthy and therefore productive .... you seem to advocate short term profits over long term corporate growth ..... without a healthy work force ... we would be a third world country ....

I have several friends who owned pharmacies .... they never complained about government control ... in-fact they did very well... financially ....

I said nothing about the financial aspects..I bet they just never told you about their govt & insurance caused headaches…
Over-Regulation is Control….now matter how you left-spin it…
I have been retired for several years & still constantly turn down offers for relief & part-time just because I am tired of the Govt BS…
I REALLY CANT IMAGINE. why a young kid would want their own pharmacy now with all the BS attached..
Most kids starting salaries are over 100K now right out of school with no ownership headaches…

Consider this: If Hobby Lobby was owned by Muslims, and the owners decreed that employees must follow Sharia law, would you be trumpeting religious freedom?

Real simple answer there. Quit your job.

I thought the libs wanted single-payer, not employer sponsored health insurance.
