I'm sure you are right that is why more people buy Canon because they want a second class camera.
Watch a NFL football game and tell me how many pro's are using white lens you see compared to the dark ones.
How do you know they are Canons?
Many of Nikon's current professional lenses are available in both basic black and basic white models, including the following:
AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D IF-ED
AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF- ED
AF-S Nikkor 300mm f/4D IF-ED
The Nikkor 400/2.8, 500/4 and 600/4 are also available in white.

Well maybe because the captain was a female and did not know any better.
Once I get my Nikon turned on Ill show her what a real camera will do.
Will, I think your survey went pretty typically.
Will, I'm surprised you got close enough to the Captain to actually get a positive ID on the gender?!
In one of my past surveys, I purposely discounted 90% of all Canons just to try and level the playing field. And Canon still won by ONE!!
Will, stop trying to turn on the Nikon.
Learn to turn on your Wife, and show here what a real man can do, and everything else will just fall into place!!

Pointy part is front and is called "bow" and just so you'll never get lost on a ship, port is left and starboard is right. Port is also a strong wine; drink enough any you won't care where you you are on the ship. Drink too much and you'll find the ship's railing. NOTE: At this point, it won't matter whether you're at the port or starboard rail; all you'll care about is which way the wind is blowing.

That is ok I can keep the economy going by myself, I own 13 DSLR all of them are Canon.
Now, if I was a liberal I would challenge you to provide a detailed list and an unbiased, except in libs favor, comparison of each one and their 3 or 4 competitors and provide eye witnesses and at least 120 pictures taken with each camera.
I am not a lib so I wish you well with the Canon cameras. That's all.

I am a long time Canon shooter, a 20D just to give you an idea of how long. However, when I decided to upgrade to full frame a bought a Nikon because I wanted a REAL camera!
That is very amusing and delightful. If you can't get that Nikon to work, you could always write!
Some of us who own other makes will rise above the petty arguments that occur with monotonous regularity between those two inferior brand owners ... :-D
They used those Canon's back in the civil war so they must be good.
excellent report, I truly enjoyed it, By the way I own a Nikon D800 as well as 2 other Nikons.....

I recently decided to conduct a very exhaustive and scientific study to determine if Nikon or Canon is the preferred camera. In order to conduct the study my wife and I went on a ten-day cruise to Bermuda and I counted the number of Canon camera users versus the number of Nikon camera users. I counted only DSLR cameras since a number of the females with smaller cameras refused to let me close enough to determine their camera type or anything else for that matter. My wife said she understood why they refused. I accused her of being a sexists and she accused me of being a dirty old man, which is where we left that issue.
For the Nikon users I am happy to report that Nikon by a margin of four to one beat out Canon. Ok I discounted thirty or so Canon users who were technically illiterate and thus had purchased the camera without knowing what they were buying. I still do not understand how the ships captain could have owned a Canon and still be permitted to captain the ship. Well maybe because the captain was a female and did not know any better. My wife pointed out that at one port all the other ships were parked with the pointy end of the ship (a nautical term) facing into the dock while our captain had the roundy end of the ship (another nautical term) pointed into the dock. I asked our cabin steward why we had backed in and he said, Oh shes just showing off, which is typical of a Canon camera owner.
I had planned to take some pictures to post here, but since I have only had my Nikon 5200 for a little over two months, I have not figured out how to turn it on. I am just about to the point of getting out the owners manual but not quite there yet. My wife said if I have not figured the camera out by the time we head to the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots reunion she is going to start using it for a door stop. Typical of a woman who uses an almost eight year old Canon Sure Shot and thinks she is a real photographer. Once I get my Nikon turned on Ill show her what a real camera will do.

Absolutely the best and funniest post for ages. Quite brilliant
I discount your survey in many ways. there are as many uninformed people using Nikon also. I have 3 Canon's and I love the quality and the outcome of my work.

Thanks for that report. I'm glad I went with Nikon many years ago. I was right!
By the way, I usually park my car with the roundy end in first. It makes it much easier to get out.

Lighten up, it was a fun post.
If the Helicopter reunion was as good as that story...must of been a Heli of a time. (I know, I know...stick to my day job)
I once had a Cannon,pressed a button and it exploded .
