I reread my original post and I stated that I had ridden 50,251 miles...should have read 5,215 miles roundtrip. It was a great ride indeed...came up Highway 1 from Ventura, CA to SF and then across to Lodi, CA, then on through Nevada on Highway 50, billed as the loneliest Road in America....130+ miles between towns and fuel stops. Had to make a stop at the Triumph Dealer in SF for a new rear tire and rear brakes/oil change during the trip.....that was 600 bucks. Anyway, SF is my favorite city in the entire U.S. and I try to make it back there every few years and I always hit the Presidio when I get there....Been to Alcatraz twice...One trip was with my new bride and when they put us in the isolation cells to see how dark they got I started playing with her back side...When we exited the cell she looked at me and smiled then commented on it. I had her convinced for a long while that it WAS NOT ME that was doing it  My absolute favorite sea food is Abalone so Fisherman's Wharf is always a must.
I reread my original post and I stated that I had ... (show quote)

Glad that you still have some roots out here, love your Alcatraz endeavour  I drove highway 50 once coming from the Utah side, even in a car it is a scary, lonely road but in a motorcycle, wow, I was glad when I got over to I 80 near Reno.

I love the way you have captured many moods and great views of the G.G. Bridge.  I sailed under it on the 98 foot yacht "Wanderer" owned by movie star Sterling Hayden and sailed by him, his brother and a small crew. A fantastic afternoon, but I did not bring a camera

Wow, I didn't know there are some people still around that rememberd Sterling Hayden, you must be my generation?. I still remember seeing his boat at the Sausalito harbour, in my opinion he was a forerunner of the hippie movement, I still can see that suntanned face with the long blond hair. You expierenced some history there.

Thank you so much, appreciate your comments. # 1 is the oldest, it was taken on Navy day and the blue angels were performing, however were I was sitting we could only hear them not see because the fog was rolling in so I took in some scenery.

Beautiful and scenic. Hard to pick a favorite from the group. I like the color in the first shot with the sailboats, but there's something nice about each of them. Good work as always!

Highway 50 is indeed a treat to travel. If my memory serves me it takes you over 6 mountain peaks as you cross Nevada. I take a long MC ride every couple of years. The 5215 mile trip was down through Phoenix then over to Ventura to tag Highway 1. We stopped in Pescadaro, south of SF to have Abalone as we went through the area. The views riding up the Pacific Coast Highway are unbelievable on a Motorcycle. I actually learned to ride in SF, on a Triumph owned by my Brother-In-Law.
