National Camera In Burnsville Minnesota told me I am number 9 on the list and I was #19. I should have it shortly as they are getting 4 at a time and have 150 on order.....

Interesting, National Camera Maple Grove clerk checked the books and told me they had about 90 Nikon & 80 Canon on back order last night. B'ville must have combined N & C orders.

He also added that the Tamron Rep told him they added a new production line for the 150-600. Can't remember if he said it was operational yet. I asked where it was located but he did not know. The Rep's Canon version was made in China.

Check a local photo store and see if they have one in stock. If so buy it there and cancel your order. I waited a month and a half for the canon mount and found a local store had one in stock, bought that one and cancelled my order at Adorama.

good thing you can return the Sigma in 30 days, Don't know howlong you plan to keep your lens but even a 6 month wait is not to long for quality that last a life time sigma is no good over 400 so you lose 200mm for a little wait

the sigma is so soft at 500 mm, so you lose 200mm cause you can't wait. junk now or quality forever

Trying to get a ballpark idea of when my(and your) Nikon mount 150-600mm will be getting ready to ship. I preordered mine on May 3rd. Let's start keeping track of the latest preorder date vs delivery date. Who has preordered a NIKON mount and received. Please enter your order date and receive date. Let's keep it ongoing by date, ie, let's only update with a preorder/receive date newer the last posted date.

I ordered mine with B&H on February 6, 2014, still no clue when this will be available.

I went with the SIGMA 150-500mm F5-6.3 Ordered on Monday and received it on Tuesday from B&B PHOTO. Cost is $869.00, SIGMA has a $200.00 off the top.

Curious here. What camera did you use and what mode? Just asking because the ISOs seem high, and the shutter speeds fast. I could be missing something, but I would think the shutter speeds could be considerable slower, allowing for a lower ISO which would mean less noise.
I am learning here, and by no means do I intend any offense. Just trying to put it all together.
Thanks,
Mike

Canon Rebel T3 1100D Didn't shoot manual, just ran off a few shots on full auto.

Thank you. That explains a lot. You probably would have chosen different settings than the camera did.

I preordered from a large, local camera store (Berger Brothers) on Feb. 7. Got the call yesterday to come pick it up today, June 10, which I just did.

I ordered mine on Feb 20th and just got another, still on back order notice from B&H Photo. I have no idea what number I am on the list with them, but wish I did. :x
