Why do you have both?
What do you use each for?

Do you have all FX lenses?

I must be the only person who unloaded all the DX gear within 6 months of getting an FX body. :-)

I use mostly FX lenses on both cameras, although I do have a few really good DX lenses. I originally bought the 7100 as a back up (to my D600) but I have found that except for low light photography such as weddings, stage plays, or dark sky photography, the 7100 does almost everything I need as well as the 610. I love my 610 and have no intention of getting rid of it, but my 7100 covers at least 85% of what I need.

I have a D90 and upgraded to the D600. Very Happy. Would sell the D90 if anyone is interested.

IMHO, only!

I would move up to FX with a 610 or Df (if you do not do video) I have 2 Df's now and they have become my go-to- cameras. My D700 and D800 are great but are starting to gather dust!

Just a thought!

The 7100 is definitely an upgrade. The 90 has been a Nikon workhorse for years, but in pretty much every head to head comparison the 7100 wins. Both have a DX format, so if you are really wanting to upgrade, have you considered the 610 with a full frame sensor. Now the only thing that makes the 7100 more attractive is the price.

I agree that the D7100 is the best value in a camera at this moment. But its still no reason to buy it if you have one already.

One should ask; what do I want to do that I can't with my current camera? The answer will point to the correct camera(s).
