My wife, Erika, began hiking the Appalachian Trail in March as many of you know. Her intent was to go all the way to Maine. That would have been a distance of over two thousand miles. After six hundred and thirty one miles, she decided that it was not fun any more. Her arthritis was bothering her, her hiking partner had injured his knees and would have to stop hiking, and I think she really missed home. She could have continued without her hiking partner; but decided that she would rather come home. I drove down to Virginia to pick her up yesterday. I posted some of her earlier photos when I visited her in Gatlinburg. These are all photos she took with my AW100 point and shoot. I touched some of the photos up in lightroom; but I wanted to keep them as close to original as possible since they are her photos not mine. Hope you like them. I'm terribly proud of her for her accomplishment. I also think she could be a good photographer.

What a way to go. Im sorry that Erika couldn't complete her hike, but the shots she got, that you posted here shows she is very adept at photography. She has a great eye. Loved the pictures she shot. Post more.
