Me too. It's a great little travel tripod but don't expect too much from it.

I'm saving for one also:

Folds to 15½", goes to 61", holds almost 18# and has an Arca-type ball head. One leg and head become monopod.

I picked up a Davis & Sanford "traverse" tripod for motorcycle travel..fits great in the saddlebags, only about 14 inches folded..5 section legs, but only goes to about 54 inches or so. It is great for travel being compact and light. That being said, being 6'4" tall,I also need to get a taller more stable one for times when compact travel isn't needed

Costco online has a Proline travel tripod that folds to 12" and comes with a ball head for about $70. It is light weight though, but, good for traveling.

I got a Manfrotto that folds down to a little less than 18 in. Its supper light and small, and travels really well but in a pinch when I want real solid stability it just can't hold it. Be sure you are covering your needs.

I have a fotopro less than 17" and quite light. It's a copy of the "Benro" I think and I am very happy with it. Several knock-offs of this tripod are around. The model I have is the C4i and I got it fro Amazon $150.00

Check out the Benro MePhoto line. I've one of those stuffed in my car. Carrying bag and all is about 12". I could almost put it in my back pocket.

I picked up a Manfrotto, Compact MKC3-H01 (T2037085) Ball Head at Target about 1 & 1/2 years ago. It was on sale for about $40-45 so I grabbed it. Pretty light weight. Might be carbon fiber...not sure. It's a total of 18".
I bought an extra camera pad. Manfrotto wanted almost as much for the extra pad as I paid for the whole tripod. I got one online at Amazon or eBay for $18. Nice all-around tripod, but I don't think I'd use it for my Sigma 150-500mm.

I have the mefoto backpacker for when I am hiking, and the mefoto roadtrip for all others. I love them both, they each have place.
