How high when extended?
Are you looking for ballhead too, if so what type of camera plate (arca-swiss, or does it not matter)?

Hibler, for travel I use an old, alloy Gitzo, it's four section and w/o a BH only goes to about 40". With column all the way up(I never us it that way), goes to about 54"(?). The camera and BH add about 6".
It weighs about 2.75 lbs, so not a carbon wonder. It folds to less than 15", but the legs won't invert with the BH in place. I have two that are very similar, one is an 026(?), and the other possibly a 106(?). They are very high quality. The biggest thing I ever put on it is my 5dmkll and 100-400, and it's pretty maxed out with that.
I've seen them for less than $125 at places like KEH if you're interested. I got mine on Craig's List. Good luck.

Don't own one, but I hear good things about Induro.

Personally, I'm a manfrotto tripod fan...have the cx190pro3

I got a MeFoto from Amazon. It folds to maybe 12". Of course, being that small, it's not going to extend to 7' tall. It's small, light, and travels well.

Me too. It's a great little travel tripod but don't expect too much from it.

I use the Induro tripods/monopods, and they are are great. I have played with the MeFoto ones in the store a bit, they are not as sturdy, but some get quite compact.

Some more information about how you want to use it, what you are mounting on it, and how much you think you want to spend will help. Of course, we might help you spend more than that, it's what we do. ;-)

It's cute how they sneak the word "titanium" in there. It's the color, of course, not the construction material.
