I wrote this a while ago but it is still factual

I have auto insurance but do not plan on getting in an accident. I have health insurance but do not plan on getting sick. I have fire insurance but do not plan on my home catching fire.... I do not live in the Wild Wild West...I live in the Wild Wild East. The animals here have two legs and no brains, a very dangerous combination. I was (almost) a victim of a home invasion about 30 years ago. It was late fall and dark outside and the scumbag came right up to my bedroom door. Luckily I woke up and yeled out that I was armed. He fled and was never caught.

I carry a "J" Frame Scandium S&W .357 snubnosed revolver every day. It weighs less than a pound and is the hardest kicking pistol on the market because of it's weight and small grips. I have shot .44/.454/.460/.500 pistols that are very heavy and fairly comfortable to shoot. I don't even feel the weight of my Smith & Wesson in my pocket. When it comes to the gun or the camera, I will go for the gun every time. You can always go back for the camera, you can never go back to get your gun.

It is my choice to carry. It may be your choice not to. That is your choice. I respect that, so if you are ever in a "jam" don't rely on me to help you. You made your choice. Live, (or die), with it. It is not my resposibility to protect you or your family. Call the Police. I'm sure the rapist/murderer/etc. will grant you your one phone call.

For all of you that live in your "Little Sheep Countries" and cannot defend yourselves... remember...You elected the officials that passed the laws.You are personally responsible. YOU!!!

The Petit family lives, or should I say "Lived" about 30 miles from me in Cheshire Connecticut. The family had a home invasion. It was on National News. The mother was killed and the pre teenage daughters were raped and then murdered and the house was set ablaze. The father was beaten and left for dead only to escape and call the Police. The two felons were caught and sentenced to death. The parents had a choice, to defend their home or not to? They chose not to. The only victims in this scenario are the childen. The father is the only one who survived. He has to live with this for the rest of his life. I do not feel sorry for him in the least.Any man that will not defend his home or his family will get NO pity from me.

You might want to do some research palsy walsy. That mans family has been using that land since before the federal government tried to claim it as theirs. Over 140 years. The federal government does not own that land or any other land for that matter. Any public land in this country belongs to the people and is for the use of the people not the Fed and their butt buddy large corporate pals. The Federal Government is a corporation. You might want to look up the laws governing corporations. They have one definite purpose which is to make money. That is what corporations do. When they do not they must be dissolved or taken apart. The Federal Government has been bankrupt for many many years and skated these laws. They have put countless ranchers out of business and raised our food prices out the roof with their illegal fees being charged on land they do not actually own and their stupid regulations on farmers that are not even legitimate laws but ways to increase revenue for the lawless mob. If you support this government the way it is and the way it operates. Than you do not support the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights and you are definitely UN-AMERICAN and should leave now.

An answer that would be expected from a libtard anti American who thinks people have the right to guns to hunt. Read some history and you will know that is the exact reason why we have guns. If my statement was dumb to you then you are clueless of this countries foundation and what the founding fathers foresaw as a definite possible problem from their personal experiences.
It is quite obvious from the replies and comments here that their are quite a few that either don't grasp the concept of actually being an American. Or place very little value on being American and the American Way of life but would rather have a politically correct do as you are told and shut up form of living. Might I suggest Egypt or Saudi Arabia or Pakistan or Syria for you as a fine alternative. If you do not believe it is worth defending with your own life you should leave now.

200 agents and snipers were there with orders to shoot American farmers. They were there with backhoes to bury the cows and newborn calves the agents had run to death out in the desert, separating the newborns from their mothers so they starved to death. And this because of some tortoises? And this because of unpaid grazing fees? You don't see 200 agents and snipers down at the borders where BLM has land and tortoises, and our nation to protect from drug runners! Why aren't they there instead of running a citizens cattle to death and threatening to shoot farmers trying to protect them!
