I am pro gun and have a conceal carry permit (and often carry). But, I'm not sure that I feel so good about this. I guess I have mixed feelings.

From a Brit - Why do you need to carry or own? If I appear ignorant - I beg your pardon.

Why does the TN Senate need to approve carry w/o a permit?
Isn't it in the Constitution?

You're exactly right. That's why I have mixed feelings about it.

This sounds like a smart decision, now every nut can have a gun to take to a bar, to the movies, etc. SMH

So when our government gets overbearing and tyrannical like they just tried in Nevada we can stop them.

Doesn't it say now our weapons are a 'privilege' rather than a 'right?'

Hmmmm can't privileges be taken away ?

Not in my Constitution or Bill of Rights it does not. Inalienable Rights -
The US Declaration of Independence states that God Himself bestowed our rights and liberties upon us. The entire American political experiment is based on that unique premise.

Try to imagine what Nevada would have been like if only the government had guns.

Well, I guess now at least we will be able to see them hanging from their belt instead of hid under a shirt.

The Declaration is a position paper intended to justify an armed rebellion against a divinely sanctioned monarchy. The Constitution is the operations manual for the US. Please note that no where in the Constitution is God or god mentioned. To state that God Himself bestowed our rights and liberties upon us is a leap that the writers of the Constitution did not make in that document.

Any number of despotic regimes based their justification on supposed heavenly doctrines. European monarchies were especially fond of the supposed divine rights of kings.

As far as having NO restrictions on gun ownership or carrying, why not then let eight year old children carry firearms? By analogy, let eight year old children drive cars, drink hard liquor and enjoy all of the other supposed prerogatives of adulthood?

Let's also remember that the Constitution can and has been amended, and amendments can and have been withdrawn, removed, or otherwise nullified. Please consider the Volstead Act and its unfortunate consequences.

My husband had no mixed feelings at all when he pulled his 9mm on the three thugs with knives who intended to rob him
