Figures don't lie but liars figure!

The 7.5 Million who enrolled did not previously have insurance or were sold bogus policies.

The entire nation was not uninsured prior to Obamacare.

How Does the Affordable Care Act Affect People Who Buy ...

Families USA
Jump to Key findings - Only 5.7 percent of non-elderly Americans are in the Individual Market. Out of 267 million Americans under age 65, just 15.2 million, ...

Thus, the 7.5 million represents more than half of the market!

You really do not understand what is going on and yet you comment! I guess you listen to Faux News

Affordable Care Act not so affordable. My wife's medical insurance was canceled and what she was able to obtain costs about 1/3 more with higher deductibles.

Last week while at the dentist I asked my dental hygienist if the Affordable Care Act effected their business? She replied no, but her personal medical insurance policy was canceled and increased cost with the new policy was too high. She said it did cause her and her boy friend to get married so they could afford a policy that still cost lots more than their original policies, with much higher deductibles.

Everyone I know has had the same experience, higher cost with higher deductibles. I am thankful that my medical insurance is paid for through my retirement, and medicare.

First I never said the entire nation was uninsured prior to Obamacare. I don't know where you got that idea. What I saw said nothing about 7 million enrollees that were previously not insured. My initial post was simply pointing out that it's a small percentage that they are crowing about when compared to the total population in the US. It would appear from your first sentence that you know Obama personally. No wonder you support Obamacare.

I heard on the news that Obama was touting that they had signed up something like 7 million people in Obamacare. Now that is signed up not necessarily that have paid any premiums. Considering the population of the US is about 310 million that means that 2.25% of the population has been enrolled during the open enrollment period if my math is correct. Can anyone explain to me why that should be something to crow about?

I love people who ONLY look at the glass half empty and can't even imagine that it could be half full.

Yes, it's entirely possible that some percentage of the people won't pay their premiums, but.....why would you even sign up if you had no intention of paying the premium?

That doesn't make sense to me.

I wonder why it's a small number of ppl? Could it possibly be that others who have never applied for the ACA are carrying on that it's the end of civilization as we know it? Could it possibly be the Koch Bros. financed commercials showing ppl who have the ACA and carry on about how poor it is. Of course, unless you get your info from many sources, FOX isn't going to tell you the ads have proven to be fraudulent. Could it possibly be that ppl hate anything this president does, especially the ACA?

Huey, you haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Google can be your friend, utilize it. SMH

Donna, you are still trying to out lie that lying president. You are really a full fledged member of the 'Bama Brown Shirt Brigade'. Your distortion of reality must be from watching your extreme left-wing idols on MSNBC. Do some real research on how many of the 7 million figure that didn't have insurance vs those that lost their insurance because of Obama. Only about a half had no insurance and we still don't know if they even paid a deposit or payment on same. Sebelious was living proof that this president doesn't know what he was and is doing about most things he talks about. Look at all the incompetent people he has installed in his cabinet. Corruption and racism seem be to their best quality!!!!!

Guess what, Check? I don't care. You guys are seriously going to have to get over your obsession. It's a law, passed by the Congress and ratified by SCOTUS.

Huey, You really need to let this go. If the Conservatives think they can win a national election by trying to repeal this law another 50 times, they're going to be disappointed.
It's just a waste of time to try to go back in time and repeal a law that was originally designed by Republican Conservatives just because Obama said it was good.
Give it up.

The law was not designed by republican conservatives and no matter how long this lie gets repeated it doesnt make it true, the democrats own this one all the way, they wrote they passed it they are stuck with it.
and we will see what the next election holds, The supreme court ruled voter ID is not unconstitutional so that paves the way for more voter id laws to prevent a lot of fraud, there goes a bunch of democrat votes,
we also are seeing not a whole lot of democrats inviting obama along the campaign trail, and a lot of them are trying to avoid the whole subject of obamacare, except for maybe pelosi who is so senile its getting pretty pathetic.

Doesn't make sense to me either except there are a lot of people out there that are under the impression that it's going to be free. Then the find out that it may not exactly be free and they just back out.

You'd sign up, so that you aren't penalized/fined if you don't sign up. $95 or 1% of your income, which ever is greater.

Huey, who cares whether they paid their premiums, it's a bill, like any other bill. For god's sakes, you may hate this president, but the ACA is a law. It had a horrendous roll out but ppl like health insurance. Get over it, move on...

Lets assume that all 7 million that have signed up have also paid. The Gov numbers of those that did not previously have insurance is about 3 million. The whole rationale for the bill was to insure the 20 0r so million who did not have insurance would now have coverage. It seems to me that 3 instead of 20 is not anything to brag about, Furthermore the 3 million newly insured are mostly medicaid and subsidized also nothing to brag about. In addition 3 million is less than 1% of the population. Do you think that the bill would have been passed if they knew that the entire health care system would be changed for 1%. I wonder how many democrats up for re-election will run under the banner----I VOTED FOR OBAMACARE

I find it interesting that with ALL that ACA is about, you can only focus on anything that's negative. You barely, if at all, acknowledge that many people are paying the premium AND their rates have decreased.

Yes, I know he said you could keep your insurance if you liked it.
That's so last year as an argument.
