Have called the number; answering machine. Website appears tacky. Hopefully you don't have your equipment there. Might try:

http://www.precisioncamera.com/minolta-camera-repair.html

Can't recommend anyone, but this may help you.

great place to send a camera. i sent a minolta there a few years back. it was under warranty; had been purchased as a refurb, and the retailer refused to honor any type of warranty. precision fixed it free, and i had many good pictures from it for quite some time.

Thanks Jerry.....I did hear from him, only to learn he now concentrates mostly on digital cameras....however, he offered to refer me to someone he trusts....
and as soon as I get that info I will procede...I love my old Minolta....it is truly from my previous life...as a freelance stringer we had a lot of adventures together...I would like the chance to have a few more.....:)

Yes he is still in business, I got an email from him just the other day. He is quite busy. He is repairing a lens for me. Just be patient.

My XD-11 was the most versatile camera I ever owned in its price class.
I used it primarily for its vertical focal plane shutter to shoot car races. It eliminated the "forward leaning tire"
syndrome common to the horizontal focal plane cameras.
I had lots of fun with the double exposure feature too.
