I tried. I am on the East Coast; they are on the West. I'd like to be at home in front of my Mac when I call and that's impossible given their very limited phone support hours during the week - and no hours on the weekend.
I am a bit surprised at the limitations of support. I couldn't even find a robust FAQ section.
Thanks for explaining. That is a problem. Do they have email? How about asking the retailer? Some do have a degree of support. I do not remember all the posts but did you check the operating system compatibility?

I've been using Wacom tablet and pen for some time now on IMac 27 running latest Maverick 10.9 with no problems.

Really? Mine does. Where does this bad information come from?

I love mine--would not be without it. No way a mouse can compare for fine control of retouching, and pressure sensitivity adds more control. Absolutely indispensable for actual drawing.

I beg your pardon. That was the latest info I had seen. Perhaps now there is a driver update that I can apply. I appreciate the info.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Probably explains it.
I have Mac version OS X 10.9.2 and a Wacom Intous Medium tablet running the Wacom Pen Tablet, Driver Version 6.1.7 and I have no trouble accessing any of the functions.
When I use the System Preferences panel to access the Wacom Tablet Settings, the Wacom Display Settings app. opens and the pen functions are there in the tools section.
Perhaps the reason it isn't showing up for you may be that the nib isn't seated tightly in the pen --- trying removing it and then pushing it back in as firmly as you possibly can and see if that helps make the connection.
Also, you may find that the nib is defective in some way and you can check that out by replacing it with one of the extra nibs that are supplied with the tablet.

If that were the case, there would be an internet uproar by Wacom users. It works fine with OSX 10.9.2.
There are some old tablets that are no longer supported, but those go back 8-10 years or so.
Wacom Intuos tablets work fine with Mavericks operating system. I have the same setup as you do. Before you contact support....go to your Apple Icon (top left) of screen and click on System Preferences. Your Wacom tablet should show up at the bottom if you installed it correctly. If it doesn't show....you installed incorrectly. If it does show....click on the Wacom tablet in the System Preferences ...the functionality of the pen (stylus) can be changed from here (i.e., what the tablet, pen, mapping, touch options, etc. are set to). Most likely you have installed it incorrectly, but if not and it doesn't show in System Preferences.....do as told above and contact Wacom technical support. Hope this helps.

Yes - download the current drivers and everything is fine. Just like any device - the FIRST action is to check for current drivers.
