Hopefully, someone can help me.

I have a new Wacom Intuos Pro Small. I have installed the driver (downloaded from Wacom), installed the tablet and am using the touch feature fine. The problem is that the pen is not recognized by the tablet at all. Furthermore, in the control panel under "Tools", I can see the tablet controls (Function) and the touchpad controls (Touch) options. However, the pen does not show up here, although the manual implies there should be an option for pen controls here too. So I assume my pen isn't working because it isn't recognized by the tablet.

I am on a new iMac 27" with the most current Mac software.

I've researched the web, read the manual, and tried every option I can find.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Wm.

Hmmm. Do you have the latest driver installed? MacOSX - Driver 6.3.7-3 (10.6x - 10.9x)

Thanks Dirtpusher. Those links are very instructional - and I will use them, but no troubleshooting tips for pen not working. I may just return the tablet and try a new one.

I appreciate the help.

I do, Deborah. In fact, I downloaded it a second time to be sure I had the right one.

I appreciate the suggestion.

That is a waste of time. Call Wacom first.

You need to contact Intuos tech support. Good luck. I have the same tablet and it works great.

I tried. I am on the East Coast; they are on the West. I'd like to be at home in front of my Mac when I call and that's impossible given their very limited phone support hours during the week - and no hours on the weekend.

I am a bit surprised at the limitations of support. I couldn't even find a robust FAQ section.

Let me change the subject a bit. I have thought of buying a tablet but do not really know why other than some pros like them.

What do you like and not like about a tablet?
