I had a Canon 100-400 that never took a sharp image. I even sent it to Canon with comparison pics taken with an identical lens on the same camera with an obvious difference in sharpness of prints - Canon told me the lens was "within acceptable parameters" and lost the sample pics. I sold it and bought a 400mm which has been great but this Tamron sounds very tempting. BTW I love the collision shot!
